In alignment with its mission to support holistic learner development, the Kouga Wind Farm Community Development Trust (KWFCDT) launched the Extra-Curricular Transport Support Programme as a pilot initiative. This programme goes beyond the donation of minibuses to beneficiary schools, further ensuring that learners can participate in enriching activities that take place outside the classroom.
Through this initiative, the Trust invested R8.2K to provide reliable transport for various extra-curricular activities. This included transport support for learners to attend soccer, rugby, netball fixtures, chess tournaments, netball provincial trials, WOW Spelling Bee competitions, and even the World Robot Olympiad. By addressing logistical barriers, the programme created opportunities for students to explore their potential, develop essential skills, and represent their schools at broader platforms.
