Supporting Our Seniors with a Purpose-Built Facility
The Kouga Wind Farm Community Development Trust (KWFCDT) is proud to support the Jongilanga Service Centre, a local NPO based in KwaNomzamo, that provides vital care and social services to senior citizens. This partnership reaffirms the Trust’s commitment to supporting vulnerable groups and playing a catalytic role in the development of its beneficiary communities.
Previously operating from the community hall, Jongilanga Service Centre often faced disruptions due to other community activities. In response, the Trust initiated the construction of a dedicated facility that will allow the Centre to operate independently and consistently. The new facility will include a fully equipped kitchen, office space, two toilets (including one designed for disabled access), and an open area that can be used for daily programmes such as exercising, sewing, and knitting.
This initiative is part of the Trust’s Welfare and Humanitarian Development efforts, which aim to improve quality of life and enhance community well-being. The new centre will not only provide a secure and comfortable space for the elderly but will also create an environment that fosters dignity, interaction, and care.
