We are thrilled to share that we successfully funded an ECD Infrastructure Development project at Makhulu’s Daycare in Zwelitsha, Sea Vista. This project was implemented under our Education & Skills Development Strategic Pillar through which the Trust seeks to improve access, and quality of education.
Makhulu’s Daycare is located in the middle of the Zwelitsha informal settlement. Before this project, the centre’s structure posed safety concerns for the 22 young learners it served.
However, thanks to the renovations done, the outdated and unsafe facility has been revitalized into a safe and conducive learning environment for the children. The learners now have access to a secure space where they can learn, grow, and thrive within an atmosphere that promotes their educational development.
We would like to express our appreciation for the collaborative partnership with the Centre for Early Childhood Development. Through our joint efforts, we have been able to maximize the positive impact of this project and contribute to the holistic development of these young learners.
As we reflect on the successful completion of this infrastructure development project, we are inspired to continue our efforts in transforming communities and uplifting lives. We remain dedicated to the vision of being a catalyst that empowers communities to be resilient, self-reliant, and sustainable.
