As part of its ongoing commitment to building strong, resilient communities, the Kouga Wind Farm Community Development Trust (KWFCDT) partnered with Sakhe Family Care Development Centre to host a Couples Enrichment Workshop. This initiative falls under the Trust’s Welfare and Humanitarian Support pillar, which focuses on addressing social challenges and promoting overall well-being within its beneficiary communities.
The workshop offered a safe and supportive space for couples to reconnect, communicate openly, and strengthen their bonds. Facilitated by trained professionals, the sessions included interactive discussions, practical tools, and guided activities that helped participants explore key elements of healthy relationships such as trust, respect, effective communication, and conflict resolution.
By empowering couples with the knowledge and skills to nurture their relationships, the Trust is contributing to the formation of stronger families—an essential building block for healthier, more united communities. Strong relationships at home lead to more stable family environments, positively influencing children and setting the tone for positive community interaction.
This project is a powerful reminder that community development begins at the level of the home. Through initiatives like the Marriage Enrichment Project, the KWFCDT continues to promote holistic development that meets both social and emotional needs.
