The KWFCDT has adopted a comprehensive and holistic strategy to investing in sports development within its beneficiary schools, focusing particularly on promoting and introducing learners to basketball and tennis.
Recognising the importance of sports as a tool for personal growth, teamwork, and physical well-being, the Trust has gone beyond simply retrofitting and constructing combi-courts. To ensure long-term impact, the KWFCDT has appointed dedicated Sports Champions tasked with facilitating structured tennis and basketball programmes and leagues.
These Champions not only work to establish formal sporting activities but also play a critical role in building capacity by training school trainers and local volunteers. Through these efforts, the Trust aims to nurture local talent, create sustainable sports ecosystems, and instill a culture of excellence in learners, both on and off the courts.
